Litter is one of the major contributors in our area to pollution in the river. This starts far away from the river itself, along roadways and in ditches. Litter is carried by wind, water, and often times animals. This litter then settles many places and ends up somewhere along the watershed in tributaries including our public parks and streams, eventually finding the river. Our goal is to add more trash traps to our fleet in Columbus and the surrounding area, to strengthen our efforts of keeping the Chattahoochee River as free and clear of as much litter as possible!
Will you be a part of the solution and help us to install more traps along the tributaries in the watershed?
