Chattahoochee River Conservancy’s community cleanups offer a hands-on solution to the litter problem in our area. Litter finds its way into ditches, streams, and the river during heavy rainfalls and directly affects the watershed, polluting its waters and presenting dangers to wildlife. Community cleanups make an impact by making the community cleaner, keeping litter out of the watershed, and providing community members the opportunity to be a firsthand part of the solution and take pride in our city.
Our water sampling program tests the water quality of 17 popular sites along the Chattahoochee River watershed from Lake Harding down to Lake Eufaula. Testing the water gives CRC important information regarding the quality of water in these areas which we make available to the public on a weekly basis. Sponsorship covers the cost of supplies for one week’s worth of testing, a total of 17 sites.
